SUMMARY:Black Opportunities Fund 2025 - Application Period
DESCRIPTION:The Black Opportunities Fund UTM (BOF) is a resource to support the University of Toronto Mississauga’s departments and units in amplifying the creativity\, visibility and brilliance of UTM’s Black communities through projects that address inequities and contribute toward positive experiences for UTM’s Black staff\, faculty\, librarians\, instructors\, students\, and caretakers. Click here for further information regarding the fund. \nThe available funding for any proposed project ranges from $500 to $3\,000. Applicants are only eligible for funding for a maximum of one application. The funding period is February 1\, 2025\, to April 30\, 2025. \nClick here to download the application form. Complete applications will be accepted via email at black.utm@utoronto.ca on or before the deadline of Friday\, January 10th\, 2025.

DESCRIPTION:Community & Connections: A wellness drop-in for students identifying as Black\, Indigenous\, and People of Colour (BIPOC).\nFacilitators: Racialized staff from the HCC Counselling Team\nWhen: Every Friday from 1:30pm – 2:30pm\nWhere: Wellness Den\, Student Services HUB\, DV2207 \nThis weekly drop-in offers a safe space for BIPOC students to hang out\, reflect on their identities and experiences and build a supportive community while engaging in a variety of wellness activities.  Activities will include: \n\nSip n’ Share – Join us as we sip tea and share our experiences in a supportive circle.\nPlaylist Power Hour – Music is a vital part of our identity! Come share your favourite tunes\, discover what others are listening to\, and craft a personalized playlist to help manage stress\, reflect\, and boost your mood.\nCraft & Chat – Come by and build community as we engage in an art activity!\nPositive Vibes – Come together and craft uplifting messages and heartfelt notes to inspire and support each other.
