Black Leadership Advisory Committee Meeting

The Black Leadership Advisory Committee (BLAC) at the University of Toronto Mississauga serves as a strategic advisory body to the Vice-President and Principal, as well as campus leadership teams and committees. BLAC is dedicated to advancing transformative change that fosters Black Flourishing and Inclusive Excellence across UTM’s diverse Black communities—including staff, students, faculty, instructors, custodians, and librarians.

Through its work, BLAC actively dismantles patterns of anti-Black racism and injustice by:

🔄 Providing updates on current anti-Black racism initiatives
📣 Reviewing campus climate and amplifying feedback from Black student and professional staff communities
📅 Planning impactful programming for Black engagement, dialogue, and learning
📊 Shaping new equity benchmarks and reporting structures
🗣️ Hosting open forums for member insights and strategic input

BLAC is a driving force for equity, accountability, and community empowerment at UTM.
