Planning on pursuing a graduate degree in the Physical or Life Sciences? Interested in a future career in biotech? Curious about what it takes to build your own start-up?
We’re pleased to announce that registration is now open for this year’s Interdisciplinary Science Program in Research and Entrepreneurship (INSPIRE). INSPIRE is an immersive, interdisciplinary program that introduces students to cutting-edge research in the quantitative life sciences. The theme for 2024 is Quantitative Biosciences and Research Translation.
Students will participate in hands-on modules, directly within research labs, that focus on projects across scales from single proteins to microbial systems. They’ll receive a crash course in research translation and innovation and meet with young entrepreneurial scientists.
And, new this year, students will be able to participate in workshops within SpinUp — U of T’s first wet lab startup incubator! We’re excited to have SpinUp lead our entrepreneurship programming, which will include networking opportunities, seminars, and a pitch competition.
We look forward to welcoming a new cohort of undergraduate students to UTM this summer!
